Maria Elvira Moreno Castillo, 81 of Snyder, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Mass for Mrs. Castillo will be held Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A Rosary will be held Monday, June 18, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Castillo was born the second of eight children on March 27, 1937 in Big Spring, Tx to Natividad and Christine (Trinidad) Moreno. She married Madaleno Castillo on December 12, 1960 in Colorado City, TX.
She was raised on a ranch in Vincent, TX. As a young girl, she helped her parents by caring for her younger siblings while they worked. She loved animals and had several dogs throughout her life. She especially loved her dog "Poodle". A very soft spoken Christian woman who opened her home to many of her children's friends. She treated them like her own and provided meals when asked. A traditional house wife who catered to her husbands needs and enjoyed serving her family. Her hobbies included drawing, sewing, cooking, watching western movies and was especially enjoyed Elvis memorabilia that she had received over the years. She especially loved her children and grandchildren.
