Obituary for Mary Luley Langford (Moore)
Mary Moore Langford, age 86, passed away in Lubbock on Friday, April 12th, 2019. She passed away from congestive heart failure.

Mrs. Langford was born on October 13th, 1932 in Camp Springs, Texas to David Logan and Esther Mildred (Hardt) Moore. She married Robert Wayne Langford, (her Sweetheart, since childhood) on August 26, 1950 in Sweetwater, TX.
As and entomologist, Mary had a private business working with local farmers to eradicate boll weevils. She was a member of Union Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was a charitable contributor to the Mayo Clinic, worked with the Scurry County Fair. She would dress up as a clown and visit the Snyder Elementary Schools, for Halloween,she would also dress as a witch and held a haunted house in her home. She ran the Republican voting Registrar, a baker at Snyder High School cafeteria, a volunteer Pink Lady at Cogdell Memorial Hospital, a volunteer with the American Heart Association. She worked in housekeeping at Cogdell Memorial Hospital, volunteered at the Ritz Theatre, managed the Yogurt Shop and worked as a night manager at Von Roeder Gin. She farmed and ranched with her husband and also was a published author. She was also the reigning domino champion of Scurry County. Her lineage can be traced back to 700 a.d..

She was preceded in death by Parents David Logan and Esther Mildred Moore; In-Laws, John Henry and Roberta West Langford; sister, Mozelle Epperson and Brother, D.L. Moore Jr.
