Melvin Wayne Burnett, age 78, passed away in Lubbock on Saturday, December 29th, 2018.

Family Visitation is planned for Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Miller Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 am at Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel 200 E. 37th Street Snyder, Texas 79549 with Pastor Loran Rule officiating.

Mr. Burnett was born on May 10th, 1940 in Corsicana, Texas to Oscar and Ethel (Compton) Burnett. He married Carol Sue (Sanders) on June 7, 1958 in Vincent, TX. He was a butcher and was know as the "Corn Man" for his roasted corn and turkey legs. He Loved his wife and family, fishing and grilling.

Sister, Peggy Christian, Big Spring, TX

He was preceded in death by Parents, Daughter, Winnona Evans; Grandson, Claude Speed; and 2 Brothers, Doyle and Billy Burnett.
